Get Involved

Become a mentor to a young business owner in Haiti: Are you a business owner or manager or a business student who is excited to see how business works around the world?

Sell Haitian products in your store (coffee, arts and drafts): with a small sign that these products are made in communities that we have connections with and possibly an artist or farmer profile

Ideas or examples of using waste to generate electricity or other fuel sources: We are partnering with a business in Haiti that is working on these efforts.

Expertise or resources for building applied research capacity among medical residents: We are partnering with Konbit Sante in Cap Haitien, who is launching a research institute at the public teaching Hospital Justinien.

Mentorship

Through expertise and experience of GROW’s founders, boards, and networks, we have been able to mentor many young people as they explore opportunities for professional development—internships, job opportunities, higher education, access to loan funds, and more. Many of these young people first become involved with GROW as volunteers during the earthquake or cholera response or attended classes at the Institute Carver. They became part of our communities as they continued to explore their interests and opportunities that they wanted. Now, many of them are professionals, highly accomplished students, world travelers, and mainstays in their communities. They are now giving back to GROW and to their communities in their own ways and are beginning to mentor others around them as well.
